Thomas the tank engine birthday cake


Just wanted to share my "Thomas the tank engine" cake I whipped up for my favourite little man, my nephew Callum, Who turned "choo" a few weeks back.

I managed to get my hands on some organic strawberries (in February??......Thank you global warming!) so I went for a Victoria Sponge recipe and a strawberry buttercream. It was delicious, really refreshing and light.

    This came out super cute! I am terrified to use fondant, hopefully I will get to that point someday! :)

      Thanks so much Sabrina! You should give fondant a go, I was terrifed when I did my first cake, but once you get used to working with it,it gets easier. Thanks a mill for stopping by x :-)

      Thanks a mill Emma,took me aaaaages! I some how can manage to make Thomas very "Creepy" looking but I was happy with the end result :)
